The Fat Boy does not blend in. Machined Lakester cast wheels, a chrome headlamp nacelle and Michelin Scorcher 11 tires — 160-section front, 240-section rear — give it a stance nothing else in the SUNZiO fleet comes near. It carries the same Milwaukee-Eight 117 as the Street Bob in a heavier chassis: 694 lb in running order, a 25.9-inch laden seat height and a 5-gallon tank.
It is the heavier of the two bikes and it rewards a rider with miles already behind them. People choose the Fat Boy for the arrival as much as the ride — St. Armands Circle on a Saturday evening, Anna Maria Island at sunset, anywhere being looked at is part of the point.
Before you book
The Fat Boy is booked through Riders Share, which checks your license and motorcycle endorsement, carries the insurance for the trip and takes the payment.
